I Amsterdam Place Marketing Conference Hires Stockholm Man As Keynote Speaker

Julian Stubbs, the man behind the branding of Stockholm as The Capital of Scandinavia has been asked to be the keynote speaker at a partner meeting for I Amsterdam. The event, attended by over 500 people, takes place on July 4th in the Dutch capital Amsterdam. 

Stubbs will be talking about the branding of cities, places and destinations as well as giving a review of the I Amsterdam branding. 

Julian Stubbs is an international brand strategist and speaker and apart from his work for Stockholm and other destinations, he has worked with brand and identity projects for clients such as Technicolor, the Hollywood movie company, and the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, which is held annually every December in Oslo. Stubbs has also recently been invited to work with the city of Oslo in developing their new branding strategy. This work has attracted a high degree of media attention in Norway and been covered by both local and national press and radio. 

His first book on place branding, called Wish You Were Here,  was published in 2011 and examines the issues in building a strong place brand and focuses on his work in developing the Stockholm brand. A second book, to be called Wish You Were Here Too, is expected out in the new year. 

Stubbs, who is English, lives in Stockholm, Sweden, and he is also one of the founders of UP THERE, EVERYWHERE, the global cloud based brand and marketing consulting group with 130 people in 20 locations.
