Interview: he contributes at the DAIM conference

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

For the DAIM conference, already starting today 23rd of February, we asked director of ergonomi, Mr. Fredrik Ericsson, some questions about him being there as a contributor representing Ergonomidesign.

Can you tell us what this project is about?

- The objective of the DAIM project is to develop anthropological user-centered research methods that are easy to apply in design research. This really fits with our companies strong belief in user-centered design and innovation for people.

Why is it important for Ergonomidesign to be at the DAIM conference?

- It is really important for us to be active in the development of new anthropological research methods as well as being close to universities that produce cutting edge research in user-research.

What are you going to contribute with?

- Actually it is a round-table discussion between partners in the project. My part will be starting up the discussion by talking about the challenge of using new methods, why you use them and how to gently proceed with new upcoming research methods. I will ask them questions about knowing what information the user seeks for nowadays and also how they're willing to apply new methods.

This and a lot more will be discussed both the 23rd and the 24th of February at the DAIM conference in Copenhagen. In fact, all questions adressed in the book Rehearsing the future will be summarized. The book is released today, 23rd of February 2010.
