Epson Singapore and Geylang International FC Reinforce Partnership with Sponsorship Renewal for the 5th Year Running

SINGAPORE, 10 March 2020 Epson Singapore and Geylang International Football Club (GIFC) today announced its sponsorship renewal for the 5thconsecutive year, with Epson once again confirmed as the Platinum sponsor for the new season until the end of December 2020. This extended partnership displays the strong relationship between the two organisations and is a reflection of Epson’s confidence in the club. The signing ceremony was held this evening at the integrated lifestyle and community hub Our Tampines Hub, the same location of the flagship youth tournament co-organised by Epson and GIFC in 2019 – Epson Youth Challenge.

With both organisations mutually committed to furthering and heightening the profile of youth football in Singapore, this strengthened partnership will see both Epson and GIFC continue to dedicate efforts to support and elevate the local football scene.

Mr. Munenori Ando, Regional Managing Director at Epson Singaporesaid,“We are very happy to extend this relationship with GIFC for yet another year. This partnership has brought together two organisations with the love for football and sports, and with that we have helped develop the youth football scene in Singapore – one of which being Epson Youth Challenge. It’s heartening to see results of our community outreach efforts, and I can’t wait to see what more we can achieve in this new season.”

As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, Epson and GIFC have co-organised the Epson Youth Challenge for the past three years. The objective of the tournament was to develop the football skills in local youths, and provide them with a platform to display their skills and share their love for the sport. The success of this tournament is reflected in the increasing number of participants year on year, with last year’s tournament securing over 1,500 participants.
