Are you and your home SPRING types?

Spring automatically brings to mind light, soft as well as vivid colours. Green, blue… these colours reflect the airiness of Spring. You can go either way with the colour tones: something more muted and earthly can give you a sense of comfort and security and help you feel more connected to nature, while bright vibrant colours celebrate the vibrancy of new beginnings.

Here are some Spring-related interior ideas you could consider:

Going Nautical
Sandy toes, salty air, cool breeze… you can bring the beach home with you! A healthy dose of navy can be paired with light green or off-white to put a contemporary twist on a classic nautical look.

You can warm it up with a light-mocha floor for a timeless feel. We think our luxurious resilient floor (LURF) colour Balance – History Oak Grey, and LURF Pulse – Picnic Oak Ochre would be very suitable.

Asian Green-Blue
This delicate colour is not really blue, not really green… but it certainly is inviting and feels like Spring bursting upon us. It works particularly well with rich Asian wood furniture and other dark pieces. and helps give such classic pieces a contemporary look. Floors that look bleached or whitewashed contrast magnificently with such vibrant colours and darker furniture.

In this particular example, we think our LURF Pulse – Sea Breeze Oak Light, and our Laminate floor colour Impressive – Concrete Wood Light Grey would work quite nicely with such colour tones.

Tasty Apple Green
There’s no need to go the whole hog with colours. For example, you can simply add a pop of green on a neutral couch for a magnificent statement. Layering in green (or blue) accessories like pillows and glassware does wonders to refresh a tired space.

Rich chocolate floor colours such as LURF Balance – Cottage Oak Dark Brown or our Laminate Eligna - Merbau work as a great complement to neutral room interiors.

Go Big!
If you love vibrant spring colours, go for it! A bold green wall for example, can brighten up a small space or nook. You can pair it with lighter shades of the colour or blues and yellows — even a pop or two of red.

Team up greener walls with more neutral floors to create a nice balance. LURF Balance – Canyon Oak Light with Saw Cuts would work well. But you don’t have to stick to wooden floor designs! The LURF Ambient – Light Concrete design, which has a more rugged stone texture, would do just as well.
