Corporate trainers to get paid when their curricula is shared beyond the workshop
Let's say you're a corporate trainer. Ordinarily you deliver your curriculum to a class of students. This could be a room of young adults, or an online or blended learning workshop for corporate participants. At the end of your workshop, the person who engaged you asks for your slides so they can be sent to the participants.
The problem is you send your deck, only to discover that some of the students copy your materials and forward them on to other people who did not attend your class.
Worst of all you discover your client shared your slides with everybody in the company across their intranet, or has even created an online course drawing on your curriculum for their corporate LMS platform.
Now with Ideas.Exchange you PitchMark® your curriculum and offer it to the client. You can even PitchMark® your slides for every individual student, so that when they receive the slides with a certificate bearing their name, they might think twice about sharing them with other people. Sending the materials with the PitchMark® certificate puts the recipients on notice and serves as a deterrent without asking for payment. It costs nothing to generate the PitchMark® certificate.
Of course, you can also license your materials to your client for distribution through their intranet for an additional fee not foreseen in the original engagement. You set the price. You set the terms. Then you send your offer to the client. Once they have accepted and paid by credit card, you receive the funds directly via Stripe or PayPal.
Now there is a formal structure in place, they are on notice not to breach the licensing conditions. In the meantime, you are being compensated for this additional use, subject to terms you determined.
