Press release -

Sigma and Telenor Cloud Services launch global partnership for B2B app distribution

Sigma has signed a global distribution agreement with Telenor Cloud Services, part of Telenor Group, one of the world’s leading mobile operators.

Telenor Cloud Services will distribute and promote Sigma's mobile applications for the B2B market as a subscription-based cloud service. Through this enterprises will have access to mobile interfaces in the form of apps for all their processing needs, integrated with their existing transactional systems. The partnership will release the first applications in the Norwegian market, with the intention of expanding to other markets at a later stage.

From previously established business models based on consultancy and fixed-priced delivery, Telenor Cloud Services and Sigma now drives the B2B into a cloud based pay-as-you-go business model, creating flexibility and competitiveness for our customers.

In cooperation with our customers, the parties take the cost of developing apps with generic functionality that will subsequently be offered to other customers. These apps are distributed through a corporate Appstore by Telenor Cloud Services globally, to customers in the B2B segment. “We see a huge potential and gain for our customers in distribution of productivity apps targeting our business market”, says Bjørn Martin Worsøe, CEO of Telenor Cloud Services.

Sigma and Telenor Cloud Services will prove how the new digital economy can take businesses from heavy investments in IT to free up capital and employees working time, which can be used to increase customer’s competitive strength in the market.

“Joining forces with Telenor Cloud Services, gives us the capabilities for a global reach to capture customers’ attention and create value for them helping transform businesses to using mobile as a new and efficient way for next generation digitalization of business process”, says Kjell Bjørn Rønning, CEO of Sigma ITM, Norway.
