    Last year Sigma Technology and Linnaeus University entered into a partnership that oversaw a free distance Master course for Sigma Technology employees in the EU. The first available course was Knowledge Sharing in Global Information Systems Teams. Eva Urbanovics, project manager and technical writer in our Hungarian office, was one of the first students within this partnership project.

  • Sigma Technology Visits over 1,000 Students in South Africa

    Sigma Technology actively supports the Star for Life program, which is aimed to help youth in Southern Africa fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS, get higher self-esteem, and get access to better education. In the beginning of May, a group of Sigma Technology representatives visited three schools that are sponsored by Sigma Technology in KwaZulu-Natal.

  • IT-Eureka! Ukraine winners are announced

    Last weekend, April 22-23rd, the IT-Eureka Hackathon was held at Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics. Twelve teams that made it to the finals were invited to Kharkiv. There they worked on their projects non-stop during 24 hours and fought for the main prize – 30 000 UAH.

  • Entrepreneurship in Ukraine: Sigma Drives IT-Eureka! Ukraine Contest

    Sigma invites Ukrainian students to take part in the IT-Eureka! Ukraine contest, an ultimate platform for entrepreneurship development and innovations. This year the competition will be held in a format of a hackathon. The registration is open on the IT-Eureka! Ukraine official website until March 31, 2017.

  • Internship at Sigma: Venturing into IoT Development and Content Management

    In 2016, Sigma Technology welcomed André Skytte and Victor Olsson, students of Linnaeus University in Växjö, as its interns. At Sigma Technology, André works on the development of IoT web application to be connected to DocFactory CMS. Victor is working together with Sigma and IKEA of Sweden teams on improving their technical documentation.

    One year ago Sigma Technology, Star for Life, and Mmemezi High School celebrated the launch of a long-term partnership in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The company’s ambition was to help Mmemezi students follow their dreams and get access to a better future. This spring we have given five scholarships to school graduates to support their higher studies.

    ​Ten weeks ago Sigma Technology launched free Swedish language sessions in Gothenburg, a special project for those who have an engineering background. Participants from all over the world came to Sigma’s Lindholmspiren office twice a week and worked on taking their Swedish to the next level. The results surpassed all our expectations.
