Steamery initiates collaboration with Milkywire

Steamery are proud to announce that they are a part of  MilkywireClimate Transformation Fund that supports pioneering projects needed to reach global net zero with the ambition to achieve the greatest long-term impact possible through an impact-first approach.

Steamery have set an internal price on carbon emissions and are currently donating based on their emitted ton CO₂ emitted to the Climate Transformation Fund curated by Milkywire. This is a fund that supports pioneering projects needed to reach global net zero, with the ambition to achieve the greatest long-term impact possible through an impact-first approach. The projects supported by the fund are selected based on a requirements and criteria framework and the selections are made by an independent advisory group made up of experts in the field. The fund is focused on three essential pillars:

· Durable carbon removal: Helping remove CO₂ from the atmosphere forever through durable long-term storage

· Decarbonization: Stopping deforestation and helping restore ecosystems through hands-on work and advocacy projects

· Restoring and protecting nature: Supporting high-impact renewable energy and emissions reduction projects and non-profit organizations fighting climate policy change

This donation is not a 1:1 compensation model, rather it’s our attempt to contribute to mitigation of the climate crisis beyond the scope of our own company. Donating to the Climate Transformation Fund is one part of our long-term sustainability commitments and we are doing this in parallel with continuing to account the emissions from our value chain and identifying ways to reduce them.
