How to keep your clothes fresh when traveling

Packing smart isn’t just about choosing the right outfits for your trip. We’ve gathered all the travel accessories you need to keep your vacation wardrobe fresh for a long time.

Can I bring a steamer when I travel?

Absolutely! Even the most carefully packed clothes will get wrinkled in a suitcase. Therefore, a handheld steamer is your most faithful companion on your vacation. They are super easy to bring, and the hot steam makes all creases disappear in no time. A handheld steamer is also perfect when you want to freshen up used garments in between washes since the hot steam targets bad odors.

Our handheld steamers Cirrus 1 Handheld Steamer, Cirrus 2 Handheld Steamer, and Cirrus 3 Iron Steamer are our smallest and most lightweight steamers and therefore the easiest to bring on travels.

What do I need to consider when traveling with my steamer?

If you are traveling abroad, you should check the water quality of your destination and what voltage is standard in the outlets. If your destination has hard water, we recommend you bring Steam Water or buy distilled water to avoid limescale residue in your steamer. Read more about water quality here.

Travel accessories to bring on your next trip

When you pack your suitcase for the next adventure, also be sure to also bring these travel accessories that help keep your clothes fresh throughout the holiday.

Lint Brush

Fur and dust are true outfit killers, especially when it comes to dark or black clothes. A few sweeps with the Lint Brush are enough to spruce up your outfit again. Especially handy if you packed a dark suit.

Fabric Spray

Our travel-sized 100 ml Fabric Spray is ideal when traveling when you wear the same clothes for days without doing laundry. Spray it directly on your clothes and enjoy the refreshing scent of rose and musk.

Pocket Brush

If you only have space to bring one thing except for your clothes and a steamer, we recommend you bring our Pocket Brush. A small clothing brush that fits perfectly in a pocket. Sweep off hair or dried mud without effort. Our Pocket Brush is made of oak and sisal fibers and is 100% vegan.

Sewing Kit

It may also be wise to bring some sewing tools in case you need to mend your clothes. Steamery’s Sewing Kit has a travel-friendly roll-up case inspired by traditional Japanese knife cases and comes with all the tools needed for easy mending on the go.

Delicate Laundry Detergent

If you are traveling for a longer time, you will eventually need to wash your clothes. Then it is convenient to bring a small travel sachet with laundry detergent to be able to wash by hand in the nearest sink.
