Steamery celebrates 10 years with launch of the new book “The Art of Clothing Care”

On the 23rd of May, Scandinavian clothing care brand Steamery is celebrating its 10th anniversary by releasing a book with the world-renowned publishing company Penguin Random House. “The Art of Clothing Care” is a comprehensive guide on how to take care of your clothes in order to make your wardrobe last longer.

For the past ten years, Steamery has been on a mission to offer simple, efficient solutions to care for your clothing to make it last longer. To celebrate this milestone, Steamery is partnering with Ebury Publishing, a division of Penguin Random House, by releasing the new book “The Art of Clothing Care – A guide to making your wardrobe last”.

The book is brought together with professionals from the clothing care industry and captures the knowledge Steamery has collected over the last decade. The book provides the reader with a wide range of practical tips on how to extend the life of their garments. The book is a testament to Steamery’s journey during the last decade and their commitment to enhancing the care and longevity of garments and enabling a more sustainable relationship with one's clothing. “The Art of Clothing Care” is poised to become a valuable resource for anyone keen on extending the life of their wardrobe and contributing to a more sustainable future.

Coinciding with the 10th anniversary, this inspiring book explores the brand’s origins and where it all started – back in 2014 in Shanghai when Frej Lewenhaupt, Martin Lingner, and Petra Ringström Oxhamre founded the company. Steamery’s mission is to inspire and educate people to take better care of their clothes in order for them to look good and last longer. It has been estimated that Europeans only wear a piece of clothing seven to eight times, on average, before throwing it away. The book brings together handy tips for refreshing your clothes without washing, along with tools and techniques to use to extend the life of our clothes and more. With the launch of “The Art of Clothing Care”, Steamery hopes to inspire the public to start making easy and small changes to the way we view and treat our clothes.

“We’re delighted to share that esteemed publishing company Penguin Random House will publish a book together with us. To be able to share our passion about clothing care in a book and inspire others to take some easy steps to take better care of their clothes means so much to us” says Frej Lewenhaupt, co-founder and CEO at Steamery.

“The Art of Clothing Care” will be available in English only and is available for pre-order now at penguin.co.uk/books. It will be found online at steamerystockholm.com and at selected resellers on multiple markets from 23rd of May. The price of the book is £22/30 €/$ 35.
