DreamHack Stockholm 2025 – Sweden’s largest gaming festival ever takes over Stockholmsmässan

From 28–30 November, the world’s largest festival for gaming and internet culture takes over the entire Stockholmsmässan venue in Älvsjö – a significant expansion compared with last year’s inaugural edition. With more activities, major international esports finals, live shows and the Nordic region’s largest gaming expo, the organisers aim to surpass last year’s attendance record of 52,000 visitors from 59 countries.

“This will be our largest investment in Europe to date. We are taking over the entire venue and presenting more experiences than ever before,“ says Shahin Zarrabi, VP Festivals at ESL FACEIT Group.

The world’s esports elite gather in Stockholm
This year’s festival features several world finals and international premieres:

  • The Overwatch Champions Series World Finals take place on-site, featuring Swedish contenders William “Willys07” Ersson and Leo-Kristian “Zorrow” Sundin in Team Peps

  • THE FINALS Major – the first world championship for the Swedish-developed title – brings together 16 teams competing for the title and USD 100,000

  • Brawl Stars World Finals return to Sweden with 16 teams battling for a USD 1 million prize pool

  • ESL Impact Season 8 Global Finals bring the world’s best women’s Counter-Strike 2 teams to Stockholm, including Swedish hopeful Emma “Emmsan” Mattsson, competing for the German organisation BIG

  • DreamHack Knockout, a new major Counter-Strike 2 initiative in the LAN area, allows all festival visitors to qualify. Winners receive USD 10,000 and a direct slot in the ESL Pro League

Big names on the Main Stage – creators, performers and music
DreamHack continues its tradition of elevating its stage programming:

  • Friday: TikTok and YouTube star Mirabell Lundgren makes her live debut with the show Ingen kommer undan, followed by an exclusive DJ set by Joakim Lundell, who will also record a new episode of Jocke testar during the weekend

  • Saturday: Comedy group IJustWantToBeCool record a live podcast in front of an audience in Stockholm for the first time

  • Sunday: AJ & Kenny from the British supergroup Beta Squad join DreamHack and challenge the audience live in various activities in the show Chat vs Champs

The weekend will be hosted by Juicebox and Baso.

Creator Hub – meet stars from around the world

More than 250 international content creators with a combined reach of 35 million followers gather in DreamHack’s new Creator Hub, presented by XBOX. Visitors can follow livestreams, take part in one-on-one challenges, play together with creators and ask questions on the Meet & Greet Stage.

World-class cosplay
DreamHack is hosting two major competitions:

  • DreamHack Cosplay Championship, featuring four competitive levels and international judges

  • Extreme Cosplay Gathering Qualifier, where top competitors can secure a chance to reach Europe’s largest cosplay stage at Japan Expo in Paris

The Nordic region’s largest gaming expo
This year’s expo is DreamHack’s largest ever. The area features the Indie Zone, Artist Alley and a wide range of exhibitors including LEGO, Nintendo and “presenting partner” Elgiganten. Visitors can also take part in activities and collect “coins” to spin the popular DreamHack Wheel.

LAN, of course – and the sleeping hall returns

DreamHack’s classic LAN has its own hall adjacent to the festival, offering numerous tournaments. Bring your computer and come alone, with friends or with your family – you will meet plenty of new people on-site. And if you need a break, the sleeping hall returns this year for a quick nap.
