DreamHack Stockholm 2025 kicks off this Friday. From 28–30 November, the world’s largest festival for gaming and internet culture takes over the entire Stockholmsmässan venue – a major expansion from last year. With more activities, major esports finals, live shows and the Nordic region’s largest gaming expo, the organisers aim to surpass the 52,000 visitors from 59 countries recorded last year.
Formex’s spring theme “Celebrate Traditions” transforms the entrance square into an inspiring cake party, where Saša Antić and Niklas Hansen invite visitors to a multisensory experience. Vibrant installations meet playful design and childhood memories.
After last year's success which attracted over 52,000 visitors from 59 different countries, interest was high from Europe's major cities. But now it's confirmed that DreamHack will return to Stockholm in November. “We aim to be bigger than the music festivals,” says Kalle Pilfalk, Director DreamHack Festivals at ESL FACEIT Group (EFG).
Design studio Doshi Levien is the Guest of Honour at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2020. With their exhibition in the Entrance Hall, the Indian-British designers aim to give visitors an insight into their creative process, revealing for the very first time, their drawings and prototypes side by side with production pieces.
As this year’s Guest of Honour the London-based studio Doshi Levien has been commissioned to create an installation for Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair in February. Run by Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien, the studio has an international reputation for combining culture, technology, industrial design and true craftsmanship.
It is once again time for Summer Design Week in Stockholm August 19–25. During the week, Stockholm will be filled with interesting events to celebrate Nordic Design.
Wednesday 14 January sees the start of Formex, the Nordic region’s largest trade fair for interior design and gifts. The entire industry converges on Stockholmsmässan to make spring purchases and take a look at the latest trends at the fair, which lasts for four days and features 829 exhibitors.
At the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, February 3–7, 2015, the Design Bar will be integrated into a new knowledge area that will also include a stage and an exhibition. The task of creating an overall concept for the area went to designer Mattias Stenberg, who offers visitors the pallette of Norrland’s colors, materials and flavors – with a clearly modern twist.
