Press release -

Formex is gathering speed and has recruited Sonja Björk Ebert to take the helm of the Nordic region’s largest interior design fair

Now that Formex, the Nordic region’s largest interior design fair, is returning in physical form, content marketing strategist Sonja Björk Ebert is taking over as project manager for the fair to boost business and enhance the experience. Sonja – a well-known face in the interior design industry – has also carried out assignments for both Formex and GastroNord at Stockholmsmässan in recent years.

Sonja has been working at Riksteatern, Sweden’s National Touring Theater, where she’s been responsible for developing and deepening public work nationwide. This, together with her extensive experience from TV and radio, newspaper publishers, content marketing agencies and as CEO of the industry organization Swedish Content Agencies, will allow her to bring in new perspectives. She will be in charge of the development work to create two fairs a year with relevant content, new product areas and fruitful collaborations to ensure the Nordic region’s best interior design fair.

Based on these experiences, in combination with the Formex project team, work is in full swing for both Formex in January and August.

Formex will open its doors on January 17; there’s a great deal of interest from our exhibitors, and the booking situation looks very good. We’ve got many exciting things in the pipeline for both exhibitors and visitors. This includes a collaboration with an award-winning designer, who will be featuring both at the fair and in our campaign material. We’re investing heavily in the Craft & Creative section, as we can see a great interest in small-scale production. There are also projects that started in August, which we’ll be developing more after a positive response, one of them being “Curious about the industry”, which is an opportunity for younger designers and newcomers to gain an insight into the interior design world. Another is the newly launched “Formex Sustainability Award”, which recognizes the exhibitors’ important sustainability work, says Sonja Björk Ebert, Project Manager at Formex.
