Press release -

Formex presents top international names and new design areas

Not only will design legend and style icon Zandra Rhodes come to Formex at Stockholmsmässan on January 15-18, but two of the world’s leading trend forecasters, Li Edelkoort and Edouard Keller, will be guests at the leading interiors fair in the Nordics. Formex also presents two completely new areas: Designer Pet and Smart Objects.

The world’s hottest trend forecasters come to Formex

Li Edelkoort and Edouard Keller – two of the world’s most in-demand trend forecasters – will be coming to Formex. These two exciting speakers will share their insights and offer inspiration exclusively to Formex exhibitors and visitors.

Edouard Keller fromCarlin Creative Trend Bureauin Paris will kick off our international trend lectures on Tuesday, January 15. Carlin was the world’s first trend agency that was founded to provide the fashion and textile industry with trend intelligence, and currently has a presence in 25 countries. Edouard presents “Colour Trends for the 20s” – a journey exploring why color is so important as we enter the next decade.

Li Edelkoort is one of the world’s most well-known trend forecasters and works with the fashion, interiors, cosmetics, retail and food industries, to name a few. On Wednesday, January 16, she will be back at Formex following last year’s sold-out lecture. This time she will be talking about “Home & Interiors 2020”. Her Paris-based company Trend Union creates trend books that look two years ahead and are used as strategic tools by designers and marketers of international brands.

Two completely new design areas at Formex

Designer Pet presents Scandinavian design and elegant accessories for our four-footed friends. In other words, all cats and dogs with style-conscious owners.
Smart Objects is the place to find the perfect present for tech-lovers who are picky about both design and quality.

“That we have deep feelings for our pets is nothing new, but we’re seeing more designed products for them, products that perhaps have not gotten exposure in the standard design and lifestyle stores. We will get to see everything from nice bowls and designed clothing for animals to super-styled leashes,” says Christina Olsson, Event Manager for Formex.

She continues, “Another area we would like to highlight is a group of products that we call Smart Objects. This is where you will find designed electronics such as earphones, charger cables and speakers as well as designed and functional travel products, attractive suitcases and other items that add a golden lining to your trip.”
