Sweden's leading chefs in first-class pop-up restaurants at GastroNord and Bocuse d´Or

Press release -

Sweden's leading chefs in first-class pop-up restaurants at GastroNord and Bocuse d´Or

During Gastronomic Week, which will be held between May 5 and 10, Sweden's most award-winning chefs will be gathered at Stockholmsmässan at the pop-up restaurants, Årets Kock and The Secret of Swedish Terroir.  World-class Swedish food will be on the menu when visitors from the food and beverage industry from throughout the world meet, since GastroNord and Vinordic, May 6-9, and the Bocuse d´Or Europe chef championships, May 7-8, will be held at the same time at Stockholmsmässan.

Årets Kock
At GastroNord in Hall A, the temporary pop-up restaurant, Årets Kock, will make an appearance for the second time in cooperation with the Swedish Chef of the Year association. The menu is created by several of Sweden's leading chefs, all of whom at some point won the Swedish Chef of the Year award. This year the appetizers are created by Filip Fastén, Tom Sjöstedt, Viktor Westerlind and Stefan Karlsson. Rikard Nilsson, Roland Persson and Markus Aujalay have created the main dishes. Honorary member pastry chef Magnus Johansson and Tomas Diederichsen, also a previous winner of the Swedish Chef of the Year award, are responsible for the desserts. Table reservations are made at the restaurant. Stand A25:48

The Secret of Swedish Terroir
In Hall B, home to the Bocuse d´Or Europe chef championships, the restaurant The Secret of Swedish Terroir is being built. Even here you will find leading chefs and food profiles such as Niklas Ekstedt and Christian Hellberg. The theme is Sweden's nine different climate zones. The restaurant is being built in five sections, each of which has its own menu based on different themes: fields, forests, lakes and the coastline, mountains and cities.

“Bocuse d´Or Europe offers a unique opportunity to show off our Swedish gastronomy, our handicraft and our produce, which through our nine unique climate zones gives us a diverse range of produce. At the restaurant we want to make it possible for the visitor to experience a small piece of Sweden,” explains Mathias Dahlgren, Honorary President of Bocuse d´Or Europe.

The restaurant and the Bocuse d´Or championship are open to the public. Stand B11:14

GastroNord and Vinordic are Northern Europe's largest trade fairs for hotels, restaurants, catering and fast food. The fairs are arranged every second year at Stockholmsmässan.
