Press release -

The Nordbygg visitor and exhibitor survey 2022: A large purchasing influence and interest in solar technology

The customer loyalty among exhibitors is strong and the quality of the visitors is high – almost eight out of ten have purchasing power, the now completed Nordbygg visitor and exhibitor survey shows.

–We see an ever growing interest in solar technology and other innovations that contribute to a lower climate impact. We will bring this with us into Nordbygg 2024, says Lina Hann, Nordbygg Project Manager.

More than 3,000 visitors and 250 exhibitors took part in the big web survey, just days after Nordbygg 2022 had closed.

Large purchasing influence
To see new products and innovations was the main purpose for 74 per cent of the visitors. 50 per cent came there to network with industry colleagues.

Eight out of ten visitors have a determining influence on purchases in their workplace. One out of three found new purchasing contacts and as many found it likely that the visit would result in some form of purchase within the next 12 months.

Solar technology is hot
Construction technology, heating systems and solar technology are highest on the list of the most popular topics for this year’s visitors.

– In the latest Nordbygg fairs, we’ve seen a growing interest in renewable energy, such as photovoltaic technology and other innovations that contribute to achieving the climate targets. The developments in the world around us and soaring energy prices will only increase that interest. We take that into the planning of Nordbygg 2024, says Lina Hann, Nordbygg Project Manager.

Appreciated network meeting
The number of visitors from the area round Lake Mälaren has increased somewhat since previous Nordbygg fairs and the international ones have decreased, for obvious reasons. The pandemic and the reduced travel has of course affected Nordbygg 2022.

The number of women has increased pronouncedly during Nordbygg 2016 and 2018, but does now seem to have plateaued.

– We will definitely continue to actively work to increase the number of women. This year, we did so through the appreciated event ”Nordbygg’s female network meeting”. Many participants spoke of the positivity in meeting and listening to women role models in the industry, says Lina Hann.

High exhibitor loyalty
The exhibitor loyalty is high at Nordbygg, where 70 per cent say that they will be exhibiting again. Six out of ten see Nordbygg as the most important fair.

– Bookings are looking excellent, the first ones came in already during the current fair. To date, 225 exhibitors have already booked their spots for Nordbygg 2024, Lina Hann closes.
