Trends, Encounters, and Inspiration – Our Summary of Formex
From August 26–28, Formex was filled with creative encounters, inspiring design, and glimpses of the future. This autumn edition celebrated the 65th anniversary of the Nordic region’s leading event for interior, design and lifestyle. Thousands of industry professionals gathered — from buyers and stylists to designers and trend forecasters — making it a vibrant hub of innovation and inspiration.
A total of 360 exhibitors from across the Nordic region and beyond participated, and nearly 8,000 visitors gathered over three days to discover trends, do business, and network with the industry.
Under the theme Things We Love, the fair offered inspiration, business opportunities, creative meetings, and powerful impressions.
This year’s theme permeated the entire fair – from booths and exhibitions to the stage program. It was all about passion, personality, and love — for our homes, Formex as a marketplace, and the encounters between people. “We are incredibly happy with the fantastic response we have received. During three intense and inspiring days, both exhibitors and visitors have shown great commitment and a genuine willingness to collectively drive the industry forward, says Sonja Björk Ebert,
Project Manager for Formex.
A Place for Business
Formex continues to be an important platform for both business and idea exchange.
Formex is a tradition we never get tired of — even after more than 60 fairs, we always look forward to the next one. Formex is so much more to us than just a fair, says Catarina and Sören from Kärrstegens Gård.
We have had a fantastic fair where we met happy customers, full of energy and optimism for the future. Formex demonstrates the strength of bringing the industry together under one roof to inspire and develop together,
says Therese Suwe from Olsson & Jensen.
Things We Love
The theme influenced the entire fair, emphasizing personal expression, sustainable choices, and design with character. Exhibitors showcased the very best the interior design world has to offer — from unique handcrafted pieces and reinvented classics to innovative styles.
The trend areas and inspirational exhibitions highlighted expressive color palettes, material mixes, and strong design — while sustainability, reuse, and local production continue to grow as strong trends in the industry.
The Wallpaper Walk Continues Its Journey
The 150-meter-long Wallpaper Walk from Formex will also be showcased at the Hem & Villa Fair on October 10–12 — an opportunity to discover wallpaper art signed by some of Sweden’s leading designers and brands.
Thank You – see you again in January
Formex would like to extend a big thank you to all exhibitors, visitors, and partners. The next edition of Formex will take place on January 20–22, 2026.
