  • Nordic food and design meet at Formex

    Nordic food and design have been a big hit abroad in recent years. At Formex, on January 14-17, 2015, visitors will be presented with a superb all-around experience at Nordic Eat, a temporary pop-up restaurant where food and design are intertwined through Nordic Neat, the spring trend theme.

  • Emerging design stars in Greenhouse

    To Greenhouse, designers and design colleges from all over the world are welcome to apply to participate. The Jury has now selected the exhibitors in Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair’s hall for young and up-and-coming designers in 2015. They include Frej Wichmann, M-S-D-S Studio, Malin Bobeck and Pettersen & Hein. 33 designers or design teams and 30 design colleges will be taking part in all.

    ​Adforum, the world leading organizer of trade fairs for the pulp and paper industry and Mentor Communications AB, the leading media company in Sweden, are together launching two new events for the pulp, paper and biobased industries: International Pulp & Paper Week and Bioeconomy Innovation Forum.     Formex, Scandinavia's largest meeting place for interior design, ended this weekend. Over four days, the interior design and gift industry gathered at Stockholmsmässan to place orders for the fall season and view the latest trends.

    At the Formex interior design and gifts fair on 13-16 August, Lotta Ahlvar will be presenting a daily inspirational talk on the theme “Sustainability Trends”. She will be on stage talking to different guests, including fashion designer Lars Wallin, artist Lina Sofia Lundin, and designers Katarina Evans and Katarina Brieditis.

  • Creative power at Formex – stories and memories from different cultures become patterns

    Livstycket is a contemporary knowledge and design center in Tensta, where women from around the world are active. Livstycket’s textile prints will be on display at the Formex interior design and gift fair, August 13–16, and the patterns for print and embroidery will be demonstrated in workshops. Formex will also feature an exhibition of favorites among this spring's design school graduates.
