We are now seeing many exciting design collaborations, where a new generation of designers is showing an interest in and a desire to work with Swedish craft companies. Combined with new digital technologies and innovative design, these collaborations are resulting in unique, contemporary products that have unmistakable ties to the past.
Wooden architecture is becoming a new Swedish export item. At Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, February 7-11, 2017, the exhibition Welcome to Woodland will present a wide range of innovative contemporary wooden architecture and discuss the different aspects of wooden architecture and design.
Coco Form Studio has been given the assignment to design the Trend Restaurant at Formex using this springs three trends: Monolith Milk & Flowers and Astronautica.
For Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2017, the design studio Form Us With Love was commissioned to design a concept for the strategic development of Greenhouse, the fair’s hall for independent, unestablished designers. Together with students from Berghs School of Communication, they developed an activity that involves a one-year mentorship program.

Awareness and responsibility formed the cornerstones of the Formex interior design and gift fair, which ended last Saturday at Stockholmsmässan. This fall’s event was the biggest ever, with around 990 exhibitors showing off their products over an area of a little more than 33,000 sq. m. Nick Ross is the winner of the design award Formex Nova. The award goes to a young designer who is working in the Nordic region. The winner has been selected by an expert jury and the award includes a sponsored activity to a value of 50 000 SEK.

This autumn´s Formex is the largest yet and for the first time Formex will fill all four exhibition halls at Stockholmsmässan.
