  • 25 Talents Selected for Formex Design Talents August 2024

    On August 27th, Formex opens, and as usual, selected designers will showcase their products in the Formex Design Talents area. One of the designers will then be chosen as the winner of "Best in Show." The award goes to the designer who stands out the most in terms of idea, form, and presentation and is announced on the opening day.

  • Fairy Tale Forest with Moomin Vibes and Great Gatsby Oasis as Formex Opens in August

    August 27-29, it's time for Formex. When the fair opens for the 116th time at Stockholmsmässan, visitors will be treated to a mix of speakers, workshops, and design happenings. As always, unique theme and trend exhibitions and new types of café collaborations will be created, this time by Anna Starrén, Hilke Collection, Silk-ka Flowers, and Jan Rundgren.

  • WE ARE - the theme when Formex opens in August

    When the Nordic region's most important meeting place for interior design – Formex – opens its doors, the theme is WE ARE. At the entrance square, Formex will create a unique environment and fairytale world with a Nordic touch together with the creator and florist Anna Starrén.

  • Formex Nova award – nominees appointed

    Formex has established the Formex Nova award – Nordic Designer of the Year, to promote high quality Nordic design created by a still relatively unknown designer working in the Nordic interior design industry. A jury appoints the nominees for the award. The winner will be presented August 18.

  • Formex is celebrating 60 years as the Nordic region’s largest meeting place for interior design with an up-to-the-minute inspirational exhibition – created by the international Carlin Creative Trend Bureau

    At Formex on January 14–17, 2020 the focus will be on the challenges faced by retailers when the international trend and content agency Carlin takes over Stockholmsmässan’s Entrance Hall with their Retail Hub exhibition. The aim is to both inspire and offer new insights to exhibitors and visitors by highlighting the latest themes in retail.

This year’s exhibitors include several designers with innovative ceramics, fabric patterns that highlight women's history, and a building set for children.

    At Formex, which will be held August 20-23, an object’s inherent energy will be in the spotlight in a unique exhibition created by world-famous trend expert Li Edelkoort. The inspiration behind the exhibition, which will fill Stockholmsmässan’s entire entrance hall, is animism – the belief that even inanimate objects could have a soul.

    The Formex interior design fair, which will be held January 17-20, 2018, has given designer and exhibition architect Synnöve Mork the assignment to design an exhibition in Stockholmsmässan’s entrance hall that inspires and educates.
