Lydmar Hotel named best hotel in Sweden

Lydmar Hotel in Stockholm has been named the best hotel in Sweden in the annual Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Awards. The hotel, which is beautifully situated right opposite the royal castle in Stockholm, is one of several Stylt projects in the top 25.

Lydmar Hotel was before its time when it opened - perhaps the first true boutique hotel in Sweden (by which we mean a hotel experience driven not by design but by personality). The owner, Pelle Lydmar, has been generous with items from his own collections, which means that the hotel always has felt more like a home than a hotel. And the guests seem to appreciate it - even though it's been ten years since it opened, the hotel continues to impress and engage with its personal style and warm welcome.
