Stylt projects shortlisted in Restaurant & Bar Design Awards
For the first time ever, not one but two Stylt projects have gone through to the shortlist stage of the international design competition Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. Mr French in Stockholm and Stylt's own pop-up Royale Agricultural Bar have beaten off the stiff competition in the Best Restaurant (Europe) and Pop-up categories respectively.
Mr French is a Roaring-Twenties steakhouse where French finesse meets American generosity, located in an old customs house hard by the quay in central Stockholm.
The Royale Agricultural Bar was Stylt's contribution to Sleep14, one of Europe's largest hospitality industry events - a lush, green watering hole inspired by the exhibition venue's past as a Victorian agricultural hall.
Restaurant and Bar Design Awards, the only design competition to focus exclusively on food and beverage spaces, is being held for the seventh year running. The competition is judged by a panel of over 20 experts including journalists, restaurant critics, hospitality designers, chefs, architects and hoteliers - recent participants include Gordon Ramsay, Zaha Hadid and Tom Dixon.
The winners will be announced in London on 1 October.
