Review - Chelsea Riverside Brasserie

A touch of class,in a quiet almost secret setting.

Sometimes the best things in London are kept quiet. They are almost a secret. That is unless, you are in the London know!

I've always tried to share my secrets with you,at A London Thing.

As we are based in Fulham, I just love to talk about the hidden gems Fulham/Chelsea has as an area,to offer.

The Wyndam hotel, situated on the beautiful Chelsea Harbour, is a tranquil , lovely setting.

Its tucked behind Imperial Wharf station. An right in front on the river Thames.

The Wyndham hotel

is 5*, and boasts a beautiful indoor swimming pool, Gym, Sauna, Spa. An prides itself on its picture perfect location.

Unlike most hotels in London, the views from every angle are amazing.

You'll either look over the Thames towards the Albert Bridge nicely lite up at night, or all across London skyline

If your looking to make an overnight stay, the Hotel has single rooms, up to suites, and all are individually decorated to a high standard. The Wyndham prides itself on its attention to detail, for example in one of the bedroom suites, the head board is decorated with a Union Jack flag. An at Christmas time they served Mulled wine in reception, and at the entrance baked chestnuts on an open fire.

The Wyndham is very much open to attracting local business. The opulent Spa and Gym has in recent months open membership up to the general public. An I visited the indoor pool area which looked rather enticing.

There are also large conference/wedding facilities where up to 500 people can be catered for. For such a grand location and vast array of facility for this number of people is such a rarity, even for London.

Champagne Wednesdays

In true Chelsea fashion,The Wyndham cocktail bar offers a brilliant 2 for 1 offer on Champagne on Wednesdays.

The Chelsea Riverside Brasserie

I was fortunate to dine in the restaurant, The Chelsea Riverside Brasserie, which also over looks the beauty of Chelsea Harbour.

As you would expect, the menu offers up opulent tasting sensations for the posh location. Including freshly prepared seafood and mouth watering meats,in a very British Brasserie style. I went for finally prepared scallops, and Foie Gras and for my main course had jaw dropping lamb with winter vegetables.

The Wine menu,is a marveling site.Catering for all The Wyndham's international clientele fro around the world.

With Portuguese Ports,Spanish Sherry's and Vintage and New wines from all over the World.

Prices range for a main course are around £22 each

The Bar

If your looking for a more simple meal the beautiful cocktail bar offers up a more cosy menu. From Oriental Thai dishes to a classic Burger. An on Sundays Burgers come with a glass or wine for a very reasonable £13.50
