Adder  scores  a  hat-trick as  it  enters  'The Manufacturer Top 100 Awards’  for the third consecutive year!

Adder has been included on the coveted Manufacturer Top 100 List for an impressive third year running. Designed to showcase everything inspiring about UK manufacturing, the awards celebrate people who have had a significant impact on the manufacturing industry while helping to build the businesses they represent.

This year, Adder’s operations director, Andy Corteen, has been recognized in the Unsung Hero category –identifying those who are instrumental in facilitating the success of those around them and their business as a whole. Since joining Adder 18 years ago, Andy has continued to grow and evolve its manufacturing division - bringing to life his ambition to deliver technology that makes a difference.

Every candidate on the list is passionate about innovation, new technologies and pioneering business models that are pushing Britain to become one of the world’s most exciting manufacturing hubs. Joe Bush, editor of The Manufacturer, said, “Everyone listed here as part of the Top 100, prove, day after day, what remarkable people work in our manufacturing sector.”

Originally an electronics design engineer,  Andy studied electronics under the Philips apprenticeship scheme and mathematics at the Open University. He moved on to start a business with two colleagues - designing and organizing the manufacture of TV reception accessories, while acting as a sales 'enabler' for B2B customers purchasing from the Far East.  Andy worked with Adder for many years, and became so impressed with the company’s engineering prowess, that he decided to move across and join the business as operations manager in 2003. Now, as operations director, Andy oversees Adder’s full operations division.

When asked about his win, and his tenure at Adder, Andy said, “I am driven to do the very best I can in any walk of life. Whether it is building market leading KVM products, or refining internal processes, I still get as excited as I did when I started my career. The journey from idea, to product, and then to manufacture, is fascinating - and rising to the many challenges that happen along that journey has always been the draw for me.

Huge congratulations to Andy from the team at Adder!
