ÅF renovates recycling plant in Kumla

ÅF will upgrade the automation system in Sakab’s incineration plant in Kumla. The project starts in September 2015 and is expected to last three years.

The assignment is a total project management solution in which ÅF will replace five old operator systems (ABB SattGraph 5000) with a common ABB 800xA system. ÅF will also assist Sakab in migrating existing control systems to ABB 800M. After the upgrade, Sakab will have a secure and modern automation system that can easily be expanded when necessary.

ÅF was also previously contracted to modernise the automation systems of the thermal power plants in Klippan and Boden.
