With two axle-integrated asynchronous motors, the Mercedes-Benz Vario has over 150 kW (around 200 hp) at its disposal and makes it possible to cover a distance of 100 km with a usable load of 3 tonnes and a 80 kWh lithium-ion battery.

    BPW to showcase an electrically retrofitted lorry for municipal waste management at the bauma trade fair

    Managers of municipal commercial vehicle fleets are some of the regular visitors to bauma, the world’s leading trade fair for construction vehicles and machinery (8–14 April). BPW is bringing a very special vehicle to Munich on their behalf: a Mercedes-Benz Vario of Cologne’s municipal waste management company AWB, which has been converted from diesel to an electric drive.

    VISION mobility readers name BPW ‘Best supplier’

    BPW shines at the IAA in Frankfurt as ‘Best supplier’ – the medium-sized company that actually specialises in commercial vehicle and transport technologies. VISION mobility, Deloitte and the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) honored BPW for a drive axle that can be used in the conversion of trucks from diesel to electric drives.
