Blue Branch Excited by Study Showing Edinburgh is the Second Ranking UK City for Start-ups

With a recent study conducted by the Royal Mail rating Edinburgh highly for its business community, Edinburgh-based event-marketing specialists Blue Branch have commented on the study revealing that the Scottish Capital is the second-ranking city in the UK for start-ups.

The study found that Edinburgh has a thriving economy, with the average weekly earnings at £578, second only to London. The results of the study were exciting for the advocates of entrepreneurship, as it revealed that Edinburgh has the second highest number of start-ups in the UK.

Since their inception in 2014, Blue Branch has been operating in Scotland’s capital city, and Managing Director Rania Noumaan was thrilled to read the report which praised Edinburgh for its business community, job opportunities, and earnings.

Entrepreneur and business owner, Rania Noumaan chose Edinburgh as the city to launch her business due to a plethora of factors. Edinburgh has the strongest economy of any city in the UK outside London. The Scottish capital possesses the highest percentage of professionals in the UK with 43% of the population holding a degree-level or professional qualification. Edinburgh also has a high proportion of young adults, with 19.5% of the population in their 20s and 15.2% in their 30s.It is predicted that by 2021, 68.5% of the population will be of working age.

As a Small Business Enterprise (SME) Blue Branch were delighted to read that Edinburgh has the UK’s 3rd highest new business survival rate.
