Blue Branch React to House of Fraser Edinburgh Store Closure

Edinburgh-based event marketing specialists, Blue Branch were shocked as House of Fraser became the latest company to announce store closures. The award-winning firm has reacted to the news that the Princess Street store will be affected.

Blue Branch: About the company

The House of Fraser department store has been a feature on Edinburgh’s iconic Princess Street since 2005. News surfaced that House of Fraser was facing administration, as part of a restructuring deal to save the company. The agreement to save the firm means that more than half of their stores will close, with the House of Fraser store in Edinburgh’s west end among them, resulting in the loss of 127 jobs.

Managing Director at Blue Branch, Rania Noumaan reacted to the news, saying, “It’s a volatile time for many high street stores as the way people shop is changing, and companies are struggling to adapt. Unfortunately, thousands of retail workers are affected.”

Blue Branch specialises in customer acquisition and raising brand awareness through in-person promotions. They send clear messages directly to consumers by utilising the human element. The firm doesn’t pre-judge on education or experience; however, they have found that individuals from a retail sales background excel at their company. Those from a retail environment possess excellent customer service and people skills, two skills which are vital for success at Blue Branch. Operating in the highly competitive direct marketing industry, Blue Branch separate themselves from their competitors because of their commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience. The event-marketing specialists are hoping to attract some of the retail workers affected by the job cuts at House of Fraser.

When someone already possesses excellent customer service and people skills, Blue Branch is confident that it is a smooth transition for them into the direct sales and marketing field. As long as someone is confident and comfortable speaking to people face-to-face and knows what it takes to deliver an outstanding customer experience, then Blue Branch can provide them with all of the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their industry.

Blue Branch is an event promotions company based in Edinburgh. Formed in 2014 due to the ever-growing demand for alternative marketing strategies, Blue Branch send clear messages directly to consumers every day via their highly skilled brand ambassadors. The firm is always looking for the next wave of ambitious and talented individuals to help take their business forward, and they believe those with retail experience are the perfect fit.
