As a passionate business coach and mentor, Ms Noumaan has vast experience advising and guiding aspiring professionals, helping them to become successful businessmen and women. The director at Blue Branch has revealed in a recent interview the things that people need to cut out to achieve a success mindset.

1. Don't make comparisons with other people.

“To achieve a success mindset, it’s important to be your own benchmark,” commented Ms Noumaan. The business owner is urging aspiring professionals to stop comparing their progress to others. The entrepreneur argues that there will always be people who are smarter, wealthier and more successful and that comparing causes a distraction and affects focus.

2. Cut out negative people.

Ms Noumaan contends that negativity is contagious and being surrounded by negative people will affect someone’s ability to achieve a success mindset. Self-made billionaire, Oprah Winfrey once said “Surround yourself with those who only lift you higher.” and Ms Noumaan concurs with that philosophy.

3. Drop the excuses.

Ms Noumaan argues that those with a success mindset hold themselves accountable for any mistakes and don’t make excuses. “Excuses are just lies to yourself,” commented Ms Noumaan. The business owner is urging aspiring professionals to drop the excuses and be accountable for their actions.

4. Don’t multitask.

Results from studies carried out by Stanford scientists have shown that 98% of people are unable to multitask successfully. Ms Noumaan is encouraging aspiring professionals to give their full and undivided attention to one task at a time. “Focus on one thing at a time, that will generate the most efficient results,” commented Ms Noumaan.

5. Stop complaining

“A positive mindset attracts positive outcomes,” argues Ms Noumaan. The entrepreneur believes that as long as someone possesses a positive attitude, anything is possible. At Blue Branch, when it comes to talent acquisition, a positive, ‘can do’ attitude is one of the primary attributes the firm looks for. The business owner argues that having a glass half full mentality will help create positive outcomes and help someone to achieve their goals.

Blue Branch is an event promotions company based in Edinburgh, formed due to the ever-growing demand for alternative marketing strategies. The firm is a supporter of entrepreneurs, with Managing Director Ms Noumaan taking a hands-on approach to helping the firm’s contractors to learn, grow and develop. The business owner is urging aspiring professionals to drop the bad habits to achieve a success mindset.
