Florida Business Consulting: About the Company

The passionate business coach and mentor took some time out of his busy schedule to answer some commonly asked questions and provide some insight into the firm’s goals for the future.

What did you do before starting your own business?

"Before starting in the industry, I was a health insurance rep after graduating with my MBA in Marketing and International Business."

You've been in business since 2011, have you noticed any significant changes in the industry since then?

"The quality of the opportunities has got so much better. The business owners make more money, the reps make way more money, people get promoted quicker because the information gets passed on way faster through social media and technology. It's a great time to start in the industry."

What are the goals for FBC?

"Short-term our goal is to open five new locations before the end of the year and pass on the opportunity to our newest leaders. Mid-term we will be all over the South (Texas, Florida, Georgia, Carolinas, Tennessee) and New York. Long-term, I intend to take FBC international by the end of 2019, with the goal to open in France and Colombia."

You've been travelling a lot this year, have you made a conscious effort to do that?

"Definitely. The beauty of our business is that it's all about the relationships you've built with your team and business associates. I'm travelling for different reasons: I want to see how my business associates are running their business, I want to learn from the best in our industry, I want to spend more time away with the best players in my company. I also want to expose them to other business practices and last but not the least RELAX (Dallas, Chicago, Austin, Houston, London, Jacksonville, New York, Paris, not a bad list so far....)."

You regularly run business trips across the US, what are the reasons behind that?

"Travel is a part of our culture. Also, we're looking to expand to new markets and sending our teams to work in new markets not only provides us with data to work with and plan our next expansions but also to give our teams the experience to practice how to run a team/location before they get to expand on their own."

What do you enjoy most about being a business owner?

"The control. Everything is on me. The good or the bad. There is no one else to blame when things go wrong. But no one else to take the credit besides the team and me when things are going great. They go great most of the time, and it motivates me every day to know that everything falls on me. I also love the freedom that comes with that; I reward myself every time we hit a goal: work hard, play harder. It keeps me motivated."

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

"I have started investing in other businesses, and the goal is to be fully financially free by then. What it means is that my passive income will become my primary income and I will have freedom of time. I will still be involved in lots of businesses and be working, but the goal is to be able to work from anywhere, allowing me to spend as much time as I want with my family who are my number one priority and travel the world which is my other big passion."

Do you have any hobbies / How do you relax/unwind?

"Traveling, Family and I am a huge PSG fan (PSG stands for Paris St Germain (French soccer team)."
