Roar Ambition lists their habits you need to stop doing to accelerate success

Sales and marketing agency Roar Ambition have devised a list of habits more people are doing that is draining their energy, the Liverpool based firm believe you need to change your practices to make a positive change and help you save your energy.

Roar Ambition: About the Firm

It is easier said than done, but one of the best ways to improve your energy levels and productivity is to cut out the bad habits that drain you of your motivation. There is a direct correlation between the number of bad habits you have and your level of energy, and subsequently, your overall happiness.

Roar Ambition has ranked the most damaging habits people possess, dropping these as soon as possible will dramatically increase motivation and energy, leading to a more productive and successful lifestyle.

Getting caught up in what others care about:

No matter what happens in life someone is going to find something to complain about, but if there is a particular situation that is of no consequence to you, your business or your happiness, getting caught up in the middle of it is going to be particularly draining.

Listening to negative people is draining, even if it’s a close friend or family member complaining about how bad their boss is for ten minutes. Also being in that environment for such a short time can influence the way you think about your own boss. Don’t allow yourself to be distracted and controlled by others negative outlook.

Worrying about issues that are out of your direct control:

Through life, there are always going to be ups and downs. Worrying about something that is not in your control will not help you accomplish your goals.

For example, you cannot control things such as government legislation or unfavourable events that have happened to you in life. You must not spend all your energy dwelling on situations, but instead, accept it has happened and move on. You will find that once you have been accepting of what happened, you will free up significant space mentally and have more energy to focus on what matters.

Stop trying to be a perfectionist:

You are not perfect, nobody is, and not everything is going to turn out to be perfect. However, there are times where perfection is required and that great, but it's not all the time. It is with this in mind that you do not find yourself obsessing with perfection. Perfection can also be subjective so you will end up putting in more thought power and energy that is required for the same result.

Not spending time with like-minded individuals:

When you surround yourself with people that are not on the same wavelength, don’t have the drive and bring you down it can only lead to a waste of time, energy and effort. They can bring you down in more ways than one. Surrounding yourself with people that lift you up, are accepting of who you are and don’t force you to change.

Don’t be a yes man/woman:

We always feel the need to please others. As a result, it can be tough to say no to others. It can be good at times to get us out of our comfort zones, but more often than not it can be a negative. You end up doing things you’d rather not be doing, taking on responsibilities that you don’t which will cause stress and angst. The solution is to learn how to say the most powerful two-letter word in your vocabulary. No. In doing so, you will then have more time to commit to things you truly want to do.
