Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival - details of road closures

It's nearly time for the hugely popular Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival, which will mean temporary road closures on Saturday and Sunday, 8 and 9 April.

Details as below:


Road closures:

Bridge Street - to traffic between Bolton Street and Crow Lane

Square Street - to traffic between Smithy Street and Bridge Street

Silver Street - to traffic from Bridge Street for a distance of 70 metres in a southerly direction

Union Street - to traffic, full length between Bridge Street and Prince Street

Palatine Street - to traffic between Bridge Street and King Street

Prince Street - to traffic between King Street and Union Street


Temporary No Waiting at Any Time:

Crow Lane - east side, between Church Street and Athol Street

Ramsbottom Lane - east side, from a point 118 metres north of its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with Factory Street

King Street - south side, between Palatine Street and Prince Street.


Temporary revocation of one-way working - Silver Street and allow traffic to flow in a northerly direction


Temporary revocation of weight restriction on Crow Lane


Diversion details:

For Bridge Street – via Crow Lane, Factory Street and Ramsbottom Lane and vice versa.

For Union Street and Palatine Street – via Railway Street and King Street and vice versa.
