Temporary traffic lights due to Whitefield gas works

Temporary traffic lights are being installed at a major junction in Whitefield due to essential gas works by National Grid.

The lights will come into operation at 9.30am on Thursday 29 October at the entrance to Park Lane where it meets Higher Lane and Pinfold Lane.

The move is necessary because work to replace the gas main at the junction has gone further into the road on Park Lane than originally forecast.

National Grid’s contractors Balfour Beatty will be working all weekend in order to complete the works and have the usual permanent signals back in operation before the start of the Monday morning peak period.
