Press release -

Arrangements over Christmas and New Year

The festive period means that some local authority buildings will be closed and services operating at different times/dates than usual.

All Bury Council administrative buildings will be closed to the public on 25, 26 and 27 December, and on 1 January. Bury Town Hall and Knowsley Place will also be closed to the public on 30 and 31 December; however, Whittaker Street, Textile Hall and Humphrey House will be open to the public on these two days.

The council has set up a dedicated web page which outlines opening times across a wide range of services, from sports centres and libraries to housing enquiries, adult care and bin collection dates.
