Art Fair to raise money for Mayor’s charities

Art lovers can indulge their hobby and raise money for local good causes at the same time.

A Bury Art Fair will be held at the Fusilier Museum on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 October with donations going to the Mayor of Bury’s charity appeal.

The charities which will benefit are Annabelle’s Challenge, the Alzheimer’s Society, and the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity (aka SuperJosh)

Among the artwork will be an exhibition by E. Anthony Orme, while MASA galleries will present work from more than 25 local artists.

The art fair is open on both days from 10am to 3pm. Admission is free, although donations will be invited for the mayor’s charities.

All the artwork on display is for sale, with a percentage of the sale proceeds going to charity. Delicious cafe will be open for refreshments.

Councillor Mike Connolly, the Mayor of Bury, said: “I am honoured and delighted that an art fair is being held in my home town to benefit charities that I have chosen. I hope as many people as possible come along on one or both days, appreciate the fine art on display and, of course, make a donation.”

Bury Art Fair 2016 is supported by The Fusilier Museum, Delicious, XLII Ramsbottom Cafe Wine Bar, S. Linen, Ken Bromley Art Supplies, Bury College, MASA UK, and Art Gallery & Gifts.
