Big Lunch is BEST for Bury

Hungry residents are invited to a Big Lunch which is held on Saturday 31 May at the Manchester Road Park bowling green in Bury.

It is hosted by Asda Marketside,and proceeds will help Bury Employment Support and Training develop its “Welly" community cafe at the site.

The fun includes face painting, a climbing wall, stalls, raffles, games and refreshments. The event takes place from 11am to 3pm, and the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Sharon Briggs, will attend.

The council and its partners will also be promoting the Safe4Summer campaign to encourage young people to take part in positive activities during the summer.
