Press release -
Build your business with help from the library
Budding entrepreneurs are invited to get free help from the library to develop their business.
The innovative Build a Business scheme is a Greater Manchester wide initiative, offering workshops, events, one-to-one help and advice sessions and ongoing support from the Business & IP Manchester.
The next set of workshops for the Bury area are taking place at Prestwich Library:
- 6 December (10am-1pm) - Know Your Market, Get Competitive. Giving valuable insights into unlocking the Business & IP Centre Manchester’s £5 million collection of UK and global business databases (including market research and company and financial information) to assess market potential and develop a viable business plan, upskilling you to ‘know your market’.
- 7 December (9.30am-4.30pm - free lunch provided) - Power up your Business. Join Wendy Breakell, entrepreneur and named one of the top 50 business advisors in the North West, for this workshop covering the practicalities of starting and growing your business. This workshop covers the essential ‘nuts and bolts’ of starting up and running a successful enterprise, including legal structures, pitching, cashflow, tax and much more.
- 8 December (10am-1pm) – Intellectual Property. Intellectual Property can be worth cash to your business. Make sure your product, service, website and brand are protected from would-be copycats and do not infringe others’ rights.
