Bury Careers Event – come and discover your future

Looking for options when you leave school? Bury Careers Event can help you and young people across the borough explore your options for the future.

Taking place at Castle Leisure Centre, 3.30pm – 7pm, on Wednesday 13 October, there will be representatives from:

  • Apprenticeship Training Providers
  • Colleges
  • Employers
  • Higher Education
  • Information, Advice & Guidance

Councillor Tamoor Tariq, cabinet member for children's services, young people and skills, said: "There has been a rise in the popularity of apprenticeships as an alternative to college and university or for after higher education to provide on-hand experience and develop future career opportunities.

"Of course, our friendly staff will be on hand to help with any questions if you’re unsure of what you want to do and provide advice about apprenticeships, college and university.

"You’re also welcome to come along if you have recently left college, employment or training and are looking for new opportunities. There are more than 250 apprenticeship placements available within the local area, which can help you further your career or build a foundation for a new one."
