Bury Council elections – candidates declared

The candidates have been declared for the Bury Council elections which take place on Thursday 3 May.

One third of the council’s 51 seats will be decided at this poll, one from each of the 17 wards in the borough.

Residents have until 17 April to make sure they are on the electoral register and therefore entitled to vote. Anyone who wishes to register should go to https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

If you want a postal vote but haven’t yet registered for one, the deadline is 18 April: call the council’s elections office on 0161 253 5252 or email electionservices@bury.gov.uk

The Borough has an area of 9,919 hectares (24,511 acres) and serves a population of 187,500.
