Bury Market brings in record number of coach visits

A record number of coaches have visited the famous Bury Market bringing shoppers keen to visit the award-winning attraction.

In 2019 the market welcomed more than 1,800 coaches, with coach visits in November setting a new monthly record of 296.

Andrew Heyes, markets manager, said: “Bury has long been a favourite coach destination for those seeking to experience a traditional market, and the number of coach visits has steadily increased each year since records began in 2008.

“We’re delighted that so many coach operators continue to visit our famous award-winning market. The visits from coaches are important to the growth of the market and hopefully these visits will continue going from strength to strength.”

People wishing to organise a trip to Bury Market can find more information on the markets’ website: www.burymarket.com.
