Bury Market – in world’s Top 10% of tourist attractions!

It’s official – our famous Bury Market really is standing out on the worldwide stage.

Tripadvisor has just certified the market as a Travellers’ Choice destination for 2026, which means it is in the top 10% of tourist destinations across the globe.

With its 350 stalls, and dating back to the 1440s, Bury Market is often described as the jewel in Bury’s crown, and has won numerous national awards.

The market is attracting record numbers of coach visits, which last year totalled 1,235, bringing visitors from as far afield as Aberdeen and Truro.
