Bury Market welcomes charity stalls

Press release -

Bury Market welcomes charity stalls

Local cash strapped charities will soon be able to promote themselves and earn much needed funds on Bury’s Award Winning Market.

Charities can now apply to Bury Market for the opportunity to run a stall on the popular Market Parade area of the market.

Cllr Black, Cabinet Member for Cultural Economy said: “Since the COVID -19 pandemic began, many charities have been forced to cut staff and reduce the much needed services they offer to individuals, groups and activities.

“It is our hope that by offering charities these stalls, they will be able to raise cash and also promote the worthwhile services they offer.”

One stall will be reserved for charities with no rent to pay on Wednesdays and Fridays every week to enable a number of charitable groups to take advantage of the opportunity. Application forms are available from Bury Market Management. Please call or email for further information and to request an application pack.
