Call out to locals for beautiful images for the official Bury Calendar 2023

Keen snappers are being given the chance to have their scenic photographs of Bury published in the borough’s official 2023 calendar.

Every year the Tourist Information Centre (TIC), located in the Fusilier Museum, brings together a collection of wonderful images to make a calendar for Bury.

The images are sent in from residents all over the borough, catching the changing seasons and beauty of our surroundings.

The calendar will be available towards the end of October, in good time to buy for a Christmas present!

Please send your images directly to touristinformation@bury.gov.uk.

Any pictures which can’t be used in this year’s calendar will either be held over for future calendars or displayed at the TIC on a media wall for visitors to see what Bury has to offer.

Charity Christmas cards also on sale at the TIC

For the 12^th year, the Tourist Information Centre is stocking a wide range of Christmas cards to raise money for good causes.

Angela Warrington at the TIC said: “Charities always struggle during hard times and one of the best things we can do is support them with our choices during the festive season.

“This year we are working with a number of charities including MacMillan, Help for Heroes, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Shelter and Bury Hospice, Alzheimers, RSPB and more.

“Alongside our range of cards we have a wonderful collection of gifts and stocking fillers that you won’t see in local shops, so if you are looking for something a bit different, call in and see what’s on offer.”
