Candidates confirmed for General Election in Bury

The candidates for the General Election in Bury have been confirmed.

The election takes place on Thursday 7 May, the same day as the elections for Bury Council.

Residents have until 20 April to make sure they are on the electoral register and entitled to vote. Anyone who wishes to register should go tohttps://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

The General Election candidates, and their descriptions, in Bury are:

BURY NORTH

  • Richard Baum (Liberal Democrats)
  • James Frith (Labour Party)
  • Ian Henderson (UK Independence Party (UKIP))
  • David Nuttall (The Conservative Party Candidate)
  • John Southworth (The Green Party)

BURY SOUTH

  • Paul Ankers (Liberal Democrats)
