Cash available for local community groups

Thousands of pounds are available for voluntary and community groups to apply for through their local township forum.

Each forum has £8,000 to award, in grants of up to £250, to groups who can run projects which support council or township priorities. These include improving employment opportunities, community and safety, health and wellbeing, learning opportunities, community cohesion, and the environment.

There is also a further £8,000 allocated for the whole borough to support activities that cross more than one township area, under which groups could be awarded grants of up to £500.
