Coach visitor to Bury Market receives surprise hamper

A passenger with East Yorkshire Coaches received a welcome surprise when she visited the famous Bury Market.

Ann Allen was presented with a hamper containing a selection of local and fresh produce which is readily available on the market.

East Yorkshire Coaches had previously visited the market in December in what was the 1,500th coach of 2017 to bring shoppers to the award-winning attraction. The hamper was a present to one of their passengers when they visited again this week.

Markets manager Andrew Heyes said: “We’re delighted that so many coach operators continue to visit our famous award-winning market. The visits from coaches are important to the growth of the market and hopefully these visits will go from strength to strength.”

Rhys Plater, marketing and development officer for East Yorkshire Coaches, who are based in Hull, said: “Our Bury Market trips are always popular, which is why we’ve added in more trips for 2018 than in previous years.”
