Come walk with us this summer!

Come and join our weekly-led walks, part of the Bury Walking for Health scheme, and enjoy the great Bury outdoors this summer.

There are a number of routes, in all parts of the borough, as follows:

  • Prestwich Community Walk – Saturday at 10.30am. Meet at St Mary’s Church entrance, Prestwich
  • Summerseat Community Walk – Monday at 11am. Meet at Summerseat Garden Centre car park
  • Chesham Woods and Parkland Walk – Monday at 1pm. Meet in Hoyles car park.
  • Bury Hospice Walk and Talk – Tuesday at 10.30am. Meet outside Bury Hospice.
  • Greenmount Community Walk – Tuesday at 10.30am. Meet at entrance to Kirklees Valley Nature Reserve, Brandlesholme Road.
  • Macmillan Cancer Support Walk – Tuesday at 11am. Meet at the Metro gate entrance to Heaton Park.
  • BEATS (Short) Community Walk – Wednesday at 1pm. Meet outside Castle Leisure Centre, Bury.
  • Radcliffe Community Walk – Thursday at 1pm. Meet outside Radcliffe Leisure Centre.
  • BEATS (Longer) Community Walk – Friday at 10.30am. Meet outside Castle Leisure Centre, Bury.

Remember – although lockdown restrictions have been lifted, we should all do our bit to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission.

Do not attend a walk if you have symptoms of Covid-19. If you have symptoms, stay home and book a test.

Social distancing should be maintained between people who do not live together or share a bubble.

Walkers should bring hand sanitiser and a face mask and not share food or drink with other walkers.
