Croft Lane roadworks – ask questions at township forum

Extensive roadworks at Croft Lane in Hollins will be discussed when Whitefield and Unsworth Township Forum meets on Tuesday 18 November.

Residents are also invited to hear a report from Bury Council finance chiefs about plans to make major cuts in the 2015/16 budget.

Also on the agenda is a presentation about plans to reshape children’s centres and on how people can make their views known.

There will also be updates from the police and on funding for local groups, and on the Draft Township Area Plan.

The meeting is at the Elms Community Centre in Whitefield and starts at 1pm, and will feature the usual open forum and public question time.

Councillor Joan Grimshaw, forum chair, said: “We have a packed agenda for Whitefield and Unsworth Township Forum with consultations on the council's budget and children's centres. United Utilities will also attend and update on the Croft Lane road works, where you can ask questions directly and find out what is happening. The forum showcases very important issues affecting residents including a 30-minute public open question time where you can raise any issues directly with councillors and get results."
