Easter fun at award-winning Bury Market

Young and old can have a thoroughly Good Friday and Easter Saturday at Bury’s famous market on Friday 18 April and Saturday 19 April.

The weekend’s activities include a range of free family activities and entertainment, with an Easter egg hunt and prizes to be won including retro sweet hampers and a family cinema ticket.

The ever popular Pimhole Community Farm will be there, along with a balloon modeller, stiltwalker, kiddies’ rides and an ice cream van.

Bury Hospice will be having a charity fundraiser on Good Friday with some game volunteers being put in the “stocks” and being drenched with wet sponges by visitors to the market. The cost for this very worthy cause will be 50 pence for three throws, and the stocks can be found next to the subway on Margaret Block, close to the Market Hall.

In addition to the regular Friday market, a Food and Craft Market will be held in the Market Square on both Friday and Saturday.
