Press release -
Essential repairs to the window lintels at Ramsbottom Pool & Fitness Centre
Essential repairs to the window lintels mean the pool at Ramsbottom Pool and Fitness Centre will be temporarily closed for up to four weeks, starting on 23 February.
This urgent work means that the pool will be closed; however, the gym at Ramsbottom will be unaffected and sessions are available to book online (Activity Search - Book | GladstoneGo) or in the centre at the self-serve kiosk.
Bury Leisure members and customers can still book and swim at Castle Leisure Centre pools: Activity Search - Book | GladstoneGo
Bury Leisure are committed to the continuous development of children learning to swim. If your child currently attends swimming lessons at Ramsbottom Pool and Fitness Centre, we will contact you directly to offer an alternative lesson, day and/or time for the duration of the closure.
Club sessions will be offered alternative provision at Castle Leisure Centre in Bury; a member of the Bury Leisure team will contact you directly.
Councillor Tamoor Tariq, cabinet member for adult care and health, said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but these works are essential for health and safety reasons. We will endeavour to keep members informed as the work progresses.”
